| Between the black background and
the figures being tossed out of the Tower, this can be a very
scary card. I think the color black has gotten a bad rap over
the years. I believe that it represents the ability to try all
things at least once. So, with this card we are going to be tossed
out of a situation and be forced to take advantage of new opportunities.
The gray Tower tells us that there is wisdom and knowledge to
be learned, like it or not.
There are Heods all around us so we know that there is a lot of
godly protection. It may not seem like we will land on our feet,
but we will. One important lesson of this card is the confidence
and belief that we must have in ourselves regardless of what is
going on around us. The Crown is yellow speaking of the pure energy
that we have available to us. All we have to do is ask for it.
Red is the “kick in the butt color”. So, when we land
we are going to be able to hit the floor running, straight into
the new life that is waiting for us. That seems impossible as
we cry ourselves to sleep and worry about feeding our loved ones.
But, there will be balance again soon.
Another view of this card is that we are the ones doing the tossing.
Sometimes we need to rid ourselves of those that are holding us
back. Call it Spiritual Housekeeping. I suggest cleaning out closets,
drawers; even old phone books. That begins the message to the
Universe that we are ready for change.
This card does tell us about divorce, failed business ventures,
residential moves, etc. It is a card that means there is or will
be a drastic change in our lives.
This card with The Death card, The Hangman in reverse and/or The
Devil card can address mental illness or deep depression. Please
remember as you talk about this that you are not a physician.
Encourage the querant to see a doctor in the appropriate area.
Often they are already aware of the problem, be it the querant
or someone around them.
Reversed: The querant is coming out of a major
challenge and is searching for peace of mind and heart. Look at
the other cards and you will get a feel or what area it has manifested
in. If the Hangman shows up in reverse, this person has no balance
and is afraid to move in any direction to better their situation.
Confidence is at a lifetime low. They feel trapped and don’t
know where to start the needed change.
