VII of Swords

This is often called the “sneak thief card”. Even though the number seven is contemplation, revelation, new perspective, a plateau, spirituality, sensual and feminine, this card has the ability to be none of those things.

The figure is looking back over his shoulder and running off with something of value. Is he stealing time, energy, and ideas? Only the querant can answer that question. Caution your querant to be mindful of those around them and the situations in which they are involved.

This card reminds us to be alert to getting incorrect change, leaving valuables in an unlocked car, our home doors unlocked or anything else that would provide a thief with an opportunity to take from us something that we do want to part with.

The Seven of Swords also warns of people who are plotting against the querant. Perhaps there is an opening at work that the quarent is in competition for and is not aware of the negative actions and words being directed at them.

There are two Swords standing up. The stand Swords tell us that there are at least two opportunities for the situation to be resolved. Notice the red on his head and feet. Red is the action color, so this person is poised and ready to do something fast.

In reverse: I have had this card show to represent mental or emotional illness.

The individual cannot face reality on a daily basis and is usually a manipulator who will go to great lengths to control those around him.

Check the Court cards for a physical or personality description for further information to share with the querant.

This cards shows when someone is putting negativity behind them. They are finally getting out of a very bad situation. Look for the divorce cards or broken business comments by the cards.
