VI of Swords
The three figures in the boat are on a journey. The standing
figure represents the consciousness, the larger sitting figure
is the consciousness and the small on is the super subconscious.
As a spirit they are using all that they are to learn from this
trip, especially now as go through a difficult time.
The journey can be physical, mental or spiritual. The waters
are smooth on one side of the boat and rough on the other. Their
attitude determines which kind of water will carry them. The swords
are placed around them to provide protection and invoke harmony
on the trip.
I always ask if the querant is going on a trip. This card can
mean they are about to go on a journey for fun and/or business.
Upright it means that all will be just fine for their adventure.

In reverse: This
card can mean either the learning process enjoyed during the travel
time was ignored or that there will be no journey.
I caution the quarent to be a wise traveler when this is in reverse,
like arriving a good eight to fifteen hours before any event that
they are expecting to attend. It gives them time to take care
of anything that could cause delays, especially if they are driving.
I often suggest that they rent a car rather than use their own,
fly a full twenty-four hours early and to carry what they need
for the next day with them.
