V of Swords
The number five is all about change, adversity, strife, upheaval
and disruption. Keep that in mind when translating this card.
Your quarent is obviously going against the grain. It can mean
that someone is fighting your quarent for an important gain. And,
it seems like this has been going on forever.
Notice that the figures are walking away from the battle. They
have left their weapons on the ground. The supposed winner wears
a smug face and bares weapons. This is a clear warning not to
feel smug about the current situation. The battle was most likely
won through dishonesty or deceitfulness. When discovered, the
figures can return to claim their victory. It is best to fight
and win battles using honest methods. In this case the quarent
may have to come up with another way, another idea to be successful
in this fight.

In reverse: Our querant
is feeling helpless and unable to do anything about the feeling
of depression. Look for other signs of emotional or mental stress
that is not being-0 addressed.
The positive side of the reverse card is that the battles are
becoming a thing of the past. There is hope on the horizon.
