II of Swords
This is a card that I believe should have been made into a Major
Arcana Card. It holds the message of a major decision that the
querant has to make. One that has a life changing effects.
The figure sits quietly, blindfolded so that she will not be
swayed by what she sees. She is crossing her heart chakra so that
she will not let emotions influence her decision. We know that
she is wise because she is wearing gray robes. The water, representing
emotions and spirituality is smooth behind her. That lets us know
that there is nothing to disturb her as she concentrates on her
future. The sliver of a moon suggests that the super subconscience
be being used to help her. Because there is uncertainty about
which direction to take, an element of procrastination is created.
That is okay, she needs to take her time before she makes a final
decision and takes action.
If she unfolds her arms out to the left, her life will move one
way. If she decides to unfold her arm to the right, she will take
another path. It would be the difference between living in Alaska
and living in Hawaii. Yes, that different. Plus, what she walks
away from she cannot get back for quite some time. And, what she
walks into she is stuck with for a long time.
Now, you see the importance of this decision. It will be life
changing, even if it seems a little move. If any of the Aces are
present if may come because of an offer. If there are any of the
change cards then she must expect forced changes if she does not
take control of the situation.

In reverse: The querant
is refusing to either recognize the opportunity for change or
make the necessary steps towards improvement in their lives.
It could mean that they are placing far more importance on the
outcome than is necessary. Or, someone could be placing unreasonable
pressure for a decision.
This card can bring attention to an unstable mental condition
that is no being treated.
