VIII of Cups
The being in red walks away from emotions, not looking back.
He is aware this is a journey unlike any other he has attempted.
This one is spiritually based. Red is the color of passion to
accomplish. The intent is to learn all he can as quickly as he
can. He has not yet learned that we can not hurry the Universal
time clock. The closed eyes on the moon face says his is willing
to go inwards for direction, the quarter moon, (subconscious)
gives support when needed. He walks on solid ground with the aid
of a staff. He has all that he needs to accomplish his goals.
This card can also mean a journey of a physical nature, such as
going to a distant place to learn about spirituality. |

Reverse: There are
obstacles in the way of either the journey or the learning process.
If together with a card such as the Two of Cups in reverse, it
can mean the journey is postponed because of illness. In reverse,
this card can mean depression or lack of faith in the knowledge
gained so far. Lack of confidence in self. On the other hand,
this is a message of joy and an encouragement to keep moving toward
an important goal.
